I have researched the history of medium to show examples of artists who have changed the industry and to show how technology has advanced. My music video will fit under the 'modern day' category, however it is also a promotional clip as the video is to advertise the artist. Promotional clips began way back in 1960, a lot has changed since then in the way that music videos are produced and consumed. Although, my research shows that music videos have always been about promotion and that is what I intend to do.
